National Contest Encourages Teens to Talk to Each Other about College
3/14/2007

A March 12, 2007 press release from the American Council on Education (ACE) announces that the YMCA and the KnowHow2GO campaign have launched "On the Air, Off to Orlando" - a national contest that encourages teens to discuss the steps needed to attend college. Contestants, who must be in grades 8-10 and participate in their local YMCA, are asked to create an original public service announcement for the radio. The first place prize is a trip to the YMCA's Black and Hispanic Achievers Teen Leadership Summit, which will be held in June at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The contest will run through April 27, 2007.

The press release is available at the ACE Web site. Further details, including who is eligible to enter the contest, are provided at the KnowHow2GO Web site.
