U.S. Secretary of Education Encourages Students to Apply for Financial Aid
1/12/2007

In a January 10, 2007 press release from the U.S. Department of Education (ED), Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings encourages all college students to apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Included in the press release are links to online resources, as well as information regarding some of the federal financial aid programs that are available. A new public awareness campaign, with the theme "The most costly education is the one not begun," is also being launched by ED this month.

The press release is available at the ED Web site.
