Study to Evaluate Effectiveness of High School Core Curriculums
12/20/2006

A December 19, 2006 press release announces that ACT, Inc. will conduct a study to determine how effective the core courses taught in U.S. high schools are at preparing students to succeed in higher education and/or the workforce. Funded through a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, results from the study may be helpful in determining future enhancements to high school curriculums. To be completed during the 2007-08 school year, the study will include a total of 90 public and private high schools from across the country.

The press release is available at the ACT Web site.
