Illinois High Schools Can Provide Transcripts Electronically
11/14/2006

A November 12, 2006 article from the Pantagraph (Bloomington-Normal, Illinois) reports that high school transcripts for college-bound Illinois students can be transmitted electronically at no charge via IllinoisMentor at collegezone.com, an interactive online resource sponsored by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC). Ridgeview High School (Colfax, Illinois), the first Illinois school to test the electronic transmission of transcripts, indicated that all went smoothly. Transcript data is encrypted prior to transmission, in order to ensure the privacy and data security of Illinois students.

The article is available at the Pantagraph Web site.
