An October 26, 2006 article from USA Today discusses the ongoing national debate regarding the level to which school authorities monitor their students' blog activity. While few question administrators' right to limit blog access on school computers, some schools are going a step further by disciplining students for things posted on blogs using their home computers. School officials contend that their efforts are to avoid a disruption in the learning process and environment. First Amendment activists, however, believe that some administrators are overstepping their authority.
