National Bus Safety Week Continues Through October 21st

An October 16, 2006 press release from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) announces that Illinois has joined school districts and school bus industry officials across the country to participate in National Bus Safety Week, which began October 15th and continues through October 21st. This year's School Bus Safety Week theme is "I See The Driver - The Driver Sees Me." Nationwide, approximately 25 million children ride a school bus each day, 1.1 million of whom are in Illinois. The press release includes safety tips for school bus drivers, as well as a link to the school bus safety section of the ISBE Web site.
