Professors Concerned Laptop Computers Are Distraction in Classroom
5/5/2006

According to a May 3, 2006 article from The Associated Press, some college professors across the nation are banning laptop computers from the classroom. Concerned that they are serving as a distraction and preventing students from actively participating in classroom discussions, the professors think students will get more out of class without the computers. While some students use the computers to take notes during class, some professors believe these students are merely acting as stenographers, rather than actually learning what is being taught.
