Experts Concerned Over Lack of Financial Literacy Demonstrated by High School Seniors
4/5/2006

According to an April 5, 2006 article from The Associated Press, a recent survey sponsored by the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy shows that only about one-half of high school seniors have a solid understanding of economics and personal finance. While participants did somewhat better on a few of the questions, significant improvements do not appear to have been made since the survey was last administered in 2004.

The article is available at the NBC5.com (Chicago) Web site. Remarks regarding the survey from the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board are also available online.
