Many States Focus on Preparing High School Students for College
2/24/2006

According to a February 23, 2006 Stateline.org article, a recently released "Closing the Expectations Gap 2006" report shows that most states are trying to make high school more rigorous in order to better prepare students for college. The report follows up on last year's National Education Summit on High Schools, where several states and education and business leaders addressed concerns regarding the gap between high school student abilities and college-level expectations.

The article, which includes a link to the report, is available at the Stateline.org Web site.
