Early Lunch Hours May Lead to Poor Eating Habits for Students
2/21/2006

According to a February 17, 2006 article from The Associated Press, research conducted by Penn State University indicates that students with lunch periods earlier than 10:30 a.m. tend to purchase more a la carte items throughout the day. While many schools try to include healthy choices on their a la carte menu, the majority of students choose quick, convenient items such as pizza and cookies. Over time, these eating habits may lead to unwanted weight gain.

The article is available at the CNN.com Web site.
