ISBE Announces New Grant to Expand Advanced Placement Programming at Low-Income Schools

A February 9, 2006 press release from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) announces Advanced Placement Classes - College and Career Success for All Students, which is a new grant for Advanced Placement® (AP®) funding. The focus of the programs funded by the grant will be to increase and improve AP® (and pre-AP) programming in low-income schools and districts across Illinois. Eligibility requirements for public school districts and schools, as well as instructions regarding how to request funding from the program, are outlined in the press release.
