February is the perfect time for students and their families to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)!
The College Awareness & Preparation (CAP) Committee, a joint effort of the Illinois Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (ILASFAA), Inc., the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC) and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), strives to assist Illinois families as they apply for college financial aid for the 2006-07 academic year.
Dozens of CAP-sponsored events have been scheduled across the state throughout the month of February, offering students and parents an opportunity to have their questions answered by financial aid experts. In addition, each Sunday in February has been designated as College Goal Sunday in Illinois. CAP-sponsored events held on these days are designed to assist low-income families, as well as families from which no members have previously attended college, complete the FAFSA.
The listing of CAP-sponsored events will continue to be updated as new information becomes available, so be sure to check back on a regular basis.
