Children Help Secretary of Education Understand What Parents Want
1/31/2006

A January 30, 2006 article from USA Today reports that U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings draws upon her own experiences as a parent with school-aged children when considering what the nation's parents want in public education. She, like other parents, helps her children with their homework and monitors the quality and quantity of time they spend online. Much of her first year as Secretary of Education has been spent addressing the No Child Left Behind education reform plan (the article includes a link to related story about how No Child Left Behind has impacted the standardized testing industry).

The article is available at the USA Today Web site.
