High School and College Students Invited to Make Movies with Cell Phones"
12/23/2005

A December 22, 2005 article from The Associated Press reports that Ithaca College (New York) is inviting high school and college students from across the country to submit short movies shot with a cell phone. The winning entry, which can last no longer than 30 seconds, will win a $5,000 grand prize. The purpose of the contest is to encourage students to become proficient in creating small and mobile works, which have gained popularity in today's media market.

The article is available at the USA Today Web site.

Details about the Cellflix film festival, which has a submission deadline of January 10, 2006, are provided in a press release from Ithaca College.
