A June 21, 2005 article from Inside Higher Ed discusses Studying Teacher Education, a book recently released by the American Educational Research Association. The book, based on a four-year review by a panel of education researchers, provides a summary of the research on teacher education that currently exists. One significant finding from the panel's review is the fact that there are many unanswered questions regarding what the best approach to teacher education may be. The article includes a listing of those issues related to teacher education for which the research does show a consensus.
