High School Students Making Final College Choices
4/27/2005

An Associated Press article dated April 26, 2005 reports that high school students across the country are making final decisions regarding where they will attend college in the fall. Students who have received acceptance letters from multiple colleges now face the task of deciding which one will best meet their needs, prior to the May 1st deadline used at many postsecondary institutions. In addition to academic and financial considerations, location is often a key factor in choosing a college - does the student want to stay close to home, or move further away? According to the U.S. Department of Education (ED), approximately 75% of students at four-year colleges remain in their home state.

The article is available at the CNN.com Web site.
