According to an Associated Press article dated January 3, 2005, students across the country are taking classes that teach the many aspects of agriculture. After learning about the science, business, and technology involved, some students choose to pursue careers related to the field of agriculture. Even though the number of farms in the U.S. is declining, students who learn about agriculture might decide to become florists, veterinarians, or commodities traders. Because agriculture classes typically concentrate heavily on science and math, students learn skills that can be applied to many areas.
