Illinois Targets Struggling Schools with New Partnership Zones
2/4/2010

An Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) News Release announces its participation in the "Partnership Zone Initiative", a partnership established with five other states to "develop long-term reform strategies for their lowest performing schools".  Illinois will join Colorado, Delaware, Louisiana, Massachusetts, and New York in the three-year, $75 million public-private partnership, funded by federal dollars and private donations.

Refer to the ISBE News Release for more information about how the Initiative will move forward and for a list of the initial 12 Illinois school district participants.
