Educators Debate Pros and Cons of Selling Lesson Plans Online
11/17/2009

According to a November 14, 2009 article from The New York Times, an increasing number of teachers are turning to the Internet to buy and/or sell lesson plans. While advocates of this relatively new business find it to be a good way for teachers to share innovative ideas, others fear that it reduces the value of what educators do. The practice of buying and selling lesson plans has raised new questions within the field of education, including whether schools should receive a portion of the profits from lesson plan sales, and whether it is appropriate for teachers to use their proceeds for personal expenses (such as mortgage payments or travel).

The article is available at the Web site of The New York Times.
