An August 28, 2009 article from Inside Higher Ed reports that, according to a recent American Council on Education (ACE) report, the new Post-9/11 GI Bill may prompt more veterans to attend four-year colleges and universities and enroll on a full-time basis. Historically, veterans have been more likely to take part-time classes at a local community college. In addition to reduced costs, veterans typically also consider how their military experience may translate to credits and what kind of resources and support systems are available on campus for veterans.
