7/31/2009

A July 30, 2009 press release from the U.S. Department of Education (ED) spotlights the 158 college and graduate students who are serving as ED interns during the summer of 2009. Representing 93 colleges and universities from across the country, the interns are working in 21 different ED offices. Projects in which the summer interns have been involved include implementing ED's "Read to the Top" program, visiting recreation centers and public libraries, and reading to and tutoring young children.

The press release, which includes a listing of all the interns and the colleges they attend, is available at the ED Web site.
