Colleges Make Most of Campus Facilities During Summer Months
6/23/2009

A June 21, 2009 article from The New York Times reports that, at college campuses across the nation, summer months are being viewed as an opportunity to generate some additional revenue. Whether offering more credit courses for existing students, or renting out facilities for local community events, college administrators are looking for every opportunity to augment increasingly tight budgets. In addition to the immediate financial boost, having an active campus during the summer also results in greater overall exposure, which may generate a larger pool of prospective students in the future.

The article is available at the Web site of The New York Times.
