An April 27, 2009 press release from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) announces that digital documentaries about World War II veterans, which have been produced by Illinois high school students, will be showcased at the Illinois State Library (Springfield) on Thursday, April 30th. Twenty student teams, representing eight school districts from across the state, will present their documentaries. Prizes, including funds for additional project equipment, will be awarded.
