Shifts Seen in Career Choices Being Made by College Students
4/15/2009

According to an April 11, 2009 article from The New York Times, career choices among college students are moving away from finance and toward the sciences, teaching, government and other public service. Believed to be caused - at least in part - by the recent economic downturn, the most popular fields seem to be those that may play a part in resolving the nation's problems. Other issues, such as climate change and the events of September 11, 2001, may also be factors contributing to the higher value that students are placing on public service over personal economic gain.

The article is available at the Web site of The New York Times.
