College Students Find Economic and Career Benefits as Resident Assistants
3/24/2009

A March 23, 2009 article from The New York Times reports that many colleges have seen a considerable increase in the volume of applications received for resident assistant (RA) positions. College students, seeking ways to reduce costs, are often drawn to this work because it typically provides free room and board. In addition, the on-the-job skills (which may include problem-solving, conflict resolution, crisis management, communication and programming) will prove useful in almost any professional field the student chooses to pursue.

The article is available at the Web site of The New York Times.
