Rejection Letters May Not Always Mean the End of College Admission Dreams
3/11/2009

According to a March 10, 2009 article from U.S. News & World Report, not all rejection letters for college admission are absolute denials. Depending on the college, in some cases applicants may have the options of either appealing the decision or taking steps to increase their chances of transferring to the college in the future. Applicants should carefully read any rejection letters they receive, and pay particular attention to any tips provided for being admitted at a later date. While not all colleges will accept appeals, those that do tend to seriously consider only appeals from the student (rather than from parents or other family members).

The article is available at the U.S. News & World Report Web site.
