Number of Families Choosing to Homeschool Remains Steady in Current Economy
3/10/2009

A March 4, 2009 USA Today article reports that the current state of the economy does not seem to be impacting the number for families that choose to homeschool their children. Even though economic conditions may be prompting some stay-at-home parents to seek part-time employment, those who homeschool their children are working hours that still allow them to conduct classes during the day. In some instances, the economy is actually prompting parents to homeschool, rather than paying out-of-pocket costs for private schools.

The article is available at the USA Today Web site.
