Community Colleges Striving to Accommodate Higher Enrollment Numbers
3/3/2009

According to a March 2, 2009 article from MSNBC, community colleges have, on average, experienced a 10% increase in enrollment over the past year. The higher enrollment numbers are believed to be the result of the current economy, which is prompting the unemployed to seek additional job training and students to choose less expensive colleges. Because the budgets of many community colleges are also feeling the financial strain, however, some are having a difficult time accommodating all who want to attend.

The article is available at the MSNBC Web site.
