According to a December 5, 2008 CNN/Money article, a record number of college graduates are currently unemployed. As of November 2008, there are more college graduates than high school drop-outs seeking employment. The U.S. Labor Department reports that approximately 136,000 business and professional services jobs were cut during November, which is the largest drop on record for a single month. The article points out that, despite these figures, roughly 97% of workers with a college degree are currently employed.
The article is available at the CNN/Money Web site.
