Digital Network Helps Students Learn About Foreign Cultures
12/8/2008

A December 5, 2008 article from the Chicago Sun-Times reports on how the International Education and Research Network (IEARN) is making it possible for American students to work with their peers abroad via a network that brings the old "pen pal" concept into the digital age. Students from third grade through high school are able to utilize this technology to learn about foreign commerce and cultures. As many as 15 schools in the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) system may participate during the current academic year.

The article is available at the Chicago Sun-Times Web site.
