A November 10, 2008 press release reminds nurses that the Veterans' Home Nurse Loan Repayment Program is available to help them pay off student loans if they work at Illinois Veterans' Homes (located in Anna, LaSalle, Manteno, and Quincy). Qualifying nurses may be eligible to have as much as $5,000 of their student loans repaid by the state for up to four years. Further details regarding the program, which is administered by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs (IDVA), is available within the Student Zone at collegezone.com.
