Teachers Experience Zero-Gravity in Effort to Inspire Love of Science in Students
10/27/2008

An October 23, 2008 CNN article reports that the Northrop Grumman Foundation is sponsoring zero-gravity plane flights for teachers, in an effort to help students gain a better appreciation for science. The Weightless Flights of Discovery program is one way in which the U.S. tech industry is responding to fears that not enough students are pursuing careers in tech fields (e.g., math, science or engineering). Over the past 3 years, more than 800 teachers have participated and then shared their experiences with students.

The article is available at the CNN.com Web site.
