National-Louis University and Chicago Public Schools announced on Thursday a partnership that will provide scholarships for John Spry Community Links High School students to attend National-Louis. Spry students interested in attending the university will be required to take college classes while in high school, act as ambassadors to recruit Latino teaching students for National-Louis, and to maintain a 2.0 grade point average, in order to receive the scholarship.
Because of the national demand for Latino teachers, the scholarship fund was established for Latino students from Spry, with the possibility of expanding the program to other high schools.
Learn more about the partnership and its benefits in the article on the Chicago Tribune Web site.
