Tips for Graduate Students Seeking Financial Assistance
3/28/2008

A March 26, 2008 U.S. News & World Report article provides information for graduate students seeking resources to help pay for their education. Because some of the gift aid that is available to undergraduate students is not awarded to graduate students (for example, the Federal Pell Grant), those pursuing a post-baccalaureate degree may need to do some additional research to identify available funding. The article suggests utilizing tuition benefits provided by some employers, fitting part-time employment into the student's weekly schedule, and borrowing federal education loans from lenders that offer the best terms. Also discussed is the fact that, on average, individuals who have a graduate or professional degree earn significantly more than those who do not.

The article is available at the U.S. News & World Report Web site.
