A March 9, 2008 USA Today article reports that, despite an overall weak labor market, individuals seeking employment after they graduate from college this spring can look forward to a welcoming environment. Many employers are expected to turn to recent college graduates to fill positions that will soon be vacated by retiring "baby boomers." A recent survey conducted by the National Association of Colleges and Employers indicates that employers expect to hire 16% more college graduates in 2008 than they did last year. Recent graduates who majored in marketing, engineering and computer science will be among the most highly sought.
