According to a September 26, 2007 article from The Associated Press, U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke indicated in a recent speech that education is the best investment. Individuals, as well as society and the overall economy, benefit from education for everyone from toddlers to those in the workforce. In addition to traditional schooling, continuing education and other job training is also important. Chairman Bernanke stated that education will play a key role as the nation faces future challenges, including advanced technology and increased globalization.
