According to an August 29, 2007 article from USA Today, many college students make the most of limited financial resources by seeking bargains at local thrift stores. Whether room furnishings or clothing, college students shop at resale shops for low-priced, vintage items. In addition to stretching their own budgets, students also like the fact that their purchases often benefit non-profit organizations, as well as help the environment by reusing materials that might otherwise be discarded.
