Eating Habits Formed during Freshman Year of College Can Last a Lifetime
8/20/2007

According to an August 17, 2007 article from Forbes, the eating habits developed by students during their first year of college can impact them for the rest of their lives. A recent study from the University of New Hampshire indicates that illnesses typically associated with middle age, such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol, are increasingly being found in college students between the ages of 18 and 24. If left unchecked, these issues can develop into chronic diseases in later life. The article offers ways for college students to be more healthy, including eating more fruits and vegetables, starting each day with a nutritious breakfast, and getting some form of regular exercise.

The article is available at the Forbes Web site.
