A recent article from The Associate Press reports that the U.S. government is seeking ways to further improve the safety of students when they ride school buses. Although school buses are currently considered one of the safest forms of transportation in the country, officials are considering additional safety measures (including the use of higher seat backs on school buses, and providing states with additional guidance regarding the use of seat belts on school buses).
The article is available at the NBC-5 (Chicago) Web site.
