According to a June 27, 2007 USA Today article, a new report from the National Council on Teacher Quality calls for improved teacher licensing and evaluation policies among states. The group suggests that, if there were similar policies throughout the country, it would be easier for veteran teachers to move from one state to another. Also, having uniform licensing and evaluation requirements for teachers may help to equalize the quality of education between states.
