May 6 - May 12, 2007 is Teacher Appreciation Week, and National Teacher Day is being celebrated on Tuesday,
May 8, 2007.
In a May 7, 2007 press release, U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings recognized teachers for their commitment and efforts.
