An April 25, 2007 Chicago Sun-Times article reports that, in the past three years, the number of Chicago Public School (CPS) students who attend college has increased from 44% to 48%. This increase brings Chicago schools one step closer to reaching the eventual goal of having at least 64% of CPS students attend college, which would match the national average. Included with the article is a listing of the top ten college destinations for the CPS high school class of 2006.
The article is available at the Chicago Sun-Times Web site.
