An April 13, 2007 press release discusses the Illinois College and Work Readiness Partnership, which was recently announced by Governor Rod R. Blagojevich. The partnership (which includes the Office of the Governor, the Illinois State Board of Education and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) will develop policies and programs to help Illinois students be well prepared to continue their education beyond high school, as well as for success in the workforce.
