Skill Building Tools
Going from high school to college is a major change. The workload gets heavier, the responsibilities are greater, and independence is at an all-time high. Needless to say, your student will be expected to be more organized—managing time and schedules independently. A good way to encourage organization is with a daily planner. Teach your student to write down every date, event and assignment that needs to be completed, and to refer to this schedule on an ongoing basis. Mastery of these time- and project-management skills will be important to both college and career success.
