Payment
Fall term ING supplemental payment requests must be submitted to ISAC on or before Friday, December 19th. Supplemental payment requests can be submitted via ING Payment Roster at My Zone
Refer to the Payment Procedures for the ING Grant and ING at My Zone for details about the ING payment process, instructions for completing and submitting payment request rosters to ISAC and how to view voucher information.
ING Payment Roster at My Zone
As announced in a December 5th e-Message, the availability of ING payment voucher information at My Zone is the latest component of the online ING Grant process. The initial release of ING Payment Roster provided the ability to complete and submit ING Grant payment request rosters in a secure, electronic method of transmitting initial, supplemental and out-of-district claims data for the ING Grant program to ISAC. With the recently added enhancement, voucher information will be available online for each ING payment request after rosters are processed and a voucher number and voucher date have been entered into the My Zone system by ISAC.
ISAC will continue to mail payment vouchers to colleges. As vouchers are received, colleges should access ING Grant payment rosters at My Zone and then use the voucher number and voucher date on each roster to match payment data for individual student records. Having access to the vouchered rosters at My Zone replaces the photocopies of ING Grant payment rosters that were previously included with the voucher mailings. As a reminder, the voucher number and date on the ING Payment Roster View screen allows colleges to match data with ING payments received from the Illinois State Comptroller's Office.
New ING Fees
At its June 27th meeting, the Illinois Student Assistance Commission approved Rules amendments effective for academic 2008-09. Among these amendments were additions to the types of fees a recipient is exempted from paying when eligible for the Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant Program. The two fees added are a matriculation fee and a term fee.
As a reminder, payment claims will not be processed for colleges who have not confirmed whether the additional fees should be included in their 2008-09 payment requests. The completed 2008-09 New ING Fees form can either be submitted via e-mail from the e-mail address of the financial aid director, or mailed or FAX it to the attention of the School Services Department.
Notification of Eligibility Available at My Zone
The of Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant Announcement Rosters for the 2008-09 academic year are available online at My Zone. The ING Grant Announcement Roster provides information for each applicant who has applied for the ING Grant with your institution listed as the college of record, and for whom the Illinois Department of Military Affairs (IDMA) has confirmed eligibility as of the date printed at the top of the first page of the roster.
This initial set of 2008-09 rosters (dated August 13, 2008) corresponds to student letters dated August 13th and includes data for complete applications received through the end of May 2008. As a reminder, new announcement rosters are posted at My Zone when eligibility verifications are received from IDMA, possibly each day.
The ING Grant Announcement Rosters, which are designed to assist in the financial aid packaging process by notifying colleges of eligible ING Grant applicants, may be used in place of collecting copies of the Notice of Eligibility letter than ISAC sends to students.
Details regarding the ING Grant announcement roster process, including important reminders, are provided at the Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant area of My Zone.
