For more than a decade, College Illinois! has given families the opportunity to reduce college costs by locking in a price that will cover future college tuition and fees, eliminating the impact of tuition inflation. Because of increasing college costs, a family who purchases a College Illinois! plan early in their child's life will recognize a greater cost savings than those who wait until the child is older.
A College Illinois! plan can cover anywhere from one semester at a community college to nine semesters at a public university, with various fee structures and payment options available, including monthly and yearly installments. Benefits can also be used at out-of-state institutions.
Program information, materials and enrollment guidelines are available at the College Illinois! Web site or by calling the toll-free number at 877.877.3724. Applications will be accepted online or via mail through April 30, 2009 when the College Illinois! general enrollment period ends.
